NEW BUILD - NORTH CHELTENHAM
This new build garden came with a huge rear garden and some impressive views. The client wanted to be able to create a family friendly garden with several entertaining areas and a lawn for the kids to play. Towards the end of the garden there was a real sense of connection to the rolling landscape beyond due to the half height post and rail fences. The client wanted to embrace the wider landscape and borrowed views in this section of the garden whilst creating some softer screening by the house.
By the large open plan kitchen/family room we created a generous terrace. This space benefits from the early morning sun and therefore is a great place to relax. Light buff limestone and warm clay pavers were the natural choice for this garden and sit beautifully next to the creamy cotswold stone used in the home.
We used crisp grass pathways as we moved further away from the home and into the wider landscape.
Simple timber arches were used to frame key views, provide a contemporary focal point and gently link two key outdoor entertaining areas. We located the outdoor kitchen and dining space in this part of the garden as it caught the evening sun.
