NORTH BRISTOL

For this project we were asked to create an outdoor oasis to be predominantly used afterwork. The clients were at a loss with what to do with the space due to its awkward triangular shape.

We set out to fix the layout by creating a generous main terrace in the heart of the space. We also added several interesting paths and a mini terrace which housed a reflection bowl to emphasise the available space.

Corten steel and charred timber have been paired together to create a cohesive modern scheme. In the evening the corten steel screen is lit from behind and the precision cut pattern is lit up.

As the garden is north facing and will be used mostly in the evenings we suggested a green and white planting scheme. With soft lighting the white flowers would take on a luminous quality.
